This Privacy Policy explains how Fodoo ("we", "us", "our") handles information when you use the mobile application Smart Cleaner – Media Cleaner (the "App"). By installing or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Do Not Collect
The App helps you find and remove duplicate, similar, large or unwanted photos and videos on your device. All scanning and analysis of your media is performed locally on your device. We do not upload, store, or share your photos, videos, or their contents on any server, and we do not require you to create an account.
2. Device Permissions
The App requests only the permissions needed for its features. You can grant or revoke them at any time in your device settings.
- Photos and videos (READ_MEDIA_IMAGES, READ_MEDIA_VIDEO, READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE on older Android versions): to scan your media library and show items you may want to clean. Files are only deleted when you explicitly confirm the action.
- Media location (ACCESS_MEDIA_LOCATION): to read metadata embedded in your photos (such as date and place taken) so similar items can be grouped. This information stays on your device.
- Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): to show progress of cleaning tasks and occasional reminders. You can turn notifications off at any time.
- Foreground service: to keep long-running scans or cleaning tasks running reliably while the App is in use.
3. Information Collected Automatically
To operate, improve and monetize the App, we use third-party services that may automatically collect limited, non-personally-identifying information, such as:
- Device information (model, operating system version, language, screen size);
- Advertising ID (Google Advertising ID / App Set ID) and IP address;
- App usage data (screens viewed, features used, session duration) and app version;
- Crash logs and diagnostic information;
- Ad interaction data (ad impressions and clicks).

5. Advertising
The App displays advertisements. Our advertising partners may use your Advertising ID to show ads that are more relevant to you and to measure ad performance. You can reset your Advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads in your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads or Settings → Privacy → Ads). For users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, we request your consent through a consent message before personalized ads are shown, and you can change your choice at any time from within the App.
6. In-App Purchases
Purchases and subscriptions are processed entirely by Google Play. We do not receive or store your payment card details. We only receive confirmation of the purchase status needed to unlock premium features.
7. How We Use Information
- To provide, maintain and improve the App's features;
- To analyze usage, fix crashes and improve performance;
- To display ads and measure their effectiveness;
- To process and verify in-app purchases;
- To respond to your support requests.
8. Data Retention and Security
Information collected by third-party services is retained according to their respective policies. We take reasonable measures to protect information, but no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.
9. Your Rights
Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact us using the email below. You can also stop all data collection by the App by uninstalling it.
10. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the revised policy.
